the day after the smajhauta express mishappening occured, i was on the airport to board for pune. as usual the flight was delayed by 2-3 hours.reading a newly launched newspaper metronews, a news story forced me to think for a while.

the victims of the samjhauta express blast were taken to the safdarjang hospital for treatment. Mr. Kasuri also praised the doctors lot for all the work they were doing. ironically there was a dark side too.a young man of ghaziabad with major burn injuries was taken to safdarjang hospital, but was denied any medical treatment as he was not one of the victims of the blast.his relatives pleaded and prayed a lot but no one was there to look this burnt case as the doctors were busy treating the samjhauta express victims.

doctors, to indians are still next to god. how can a person who is trained to save lives, deny the treatment to a dying patient ?
